Overview of the Pre-Qualification Program for SHARAKAT Projects

SHARAKAT has launched a Pre-Qualification Program for Developers to develop its future projects in the sectors of Independent Water Plants (IWP) and Independent Sewage Treatment Plants (ISTP). The program provides the opportunity for all local and international developers to obtain pre-qualification approval and receive Request for Proposals (RFP) documents for SHARAKAT’s future projects without the need to submit a separate qualification application for each project.

Program Objectives:

• Facilitate and expedite the developer pre-qualification process.
• Give the private sector sufficient time to form consortia.
• Enhance competitiveness in projects.

First Edition:

The first edition of the program was launched in May 2024, attracting over 100 interested developers, and resulted in the qualification of more than 80 developers.

Second Edition:

Registration in the permanent list of the program was re-opened in March 2025 to enable new developers to register in the permanent list and enhance competition for future projects.

Third Edition (Upcoming):

The date for re-opening registration for developers wishing to participate and obtain qualification under the Program will be announced in due course.
