About the Sharakah Initiative:


The Sharaka Initiative is one of SHARAKAT’s initiatives aimed at qualifying recent graduates holding bachelor’s and master’s degrees in disciplines related to the water sector. The initiative is founded on the belief that leadership is developed at all professional levels and that the most effective learning takes place through practical experience.
Accordingly, the program is structured around diverse work assignments designed to facilitate knowledge transfer and skills development across various professional environments, enhancing participants’ readiness and elevating their performance and productivity. The program also provides structured training and professional development opportunities to prepare qualified national talents.
The initiative was launched in 2020 as part of SHARAKAT’s social responsibility programs, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Purpose of the Sharakah Initiative:

The Sharakah Initiative aims to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and experiences related to water allocation and to prepare participants for employment opportunities arising from privatization across relevant industries.

Launch Timeline of the Sharakah Initiative:

The first iteration of the program began in 2020 and lasted 21 weeks.

The second iteration was launched in 2022 and also ran for 21 weeks.

In 2023, the third iteration extended to 13 weeks.

The Fourth and Fifth iterations were launched in 2024 and lasted for 12 weeks.

Target Groups:

The program targets outstanding recent graduates with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in: Economics, Engineering, Law, and Finance

Benefits of the Sharakah Program:

A monthly allowance.

Field trips to the project locations.

Certificate of Training.

Number of Trainees Since Inception:

Since its inception in 2020, over 150 learners, both male and female, have participated in the Sharakah Program.
